Are you Dom or are you sub? When? BDSM theory applied in the ways we see the relationship of two
This project is our practice-as-research, modes of perceiving and BDSM’s theory merged: we (the performers, you as readers and audience, and I as director and author) reperceive the body in its ways of communication, in its endless game of dominating and being dominated. BDSM’s theory as our research method allows us to transform our way of acting as Dom and sub, our way of perceiving the physical and mental aspects of the body, our sensing conscious and unconscious states during our game.
We use verbs as tasks for the performers that put them in a specific role. The filmed performances use the physical means of touch and gaze to point attention to power aspects of the relationship of two human beings. These aspects, usually invisible in intimate real-life relationships, demonstrate how power games constantly take place.
Your gaze, their gaze, our ways of perceiving can develop a methodology of learning.
